"I got a green card, and you ain't got none...

'cause your dad's an alcho......lic." Denise and I (plus Sofia) went down to Metairie today for our green card interview, and we made it through the gauntlet! Actually it was pretty painless--no Gérard-Depardieu-stumping questions like "What's your wife's shoe size" or "Is she a Beatles or Elvis woman." They pretty much just wanted to make sure I wasn't a serial killer, never bombed nor ever plan to bomb a U.S. building, etc. Pretty low standards if you ask me--they're letting anybody in these days. Now, if only I could find one of them DMVs that automatically registers you to vote when you renew your driver's license. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk. (Seriously, that was a joke. Please don't report me to the USCIS.)
