Babies Lie!
Babies: tiny liars:
Infants quickly learnt that using tactics such as fake crying and pretend laughing could win them attention. By eight months, more difficult deceptions became apparent, such as concealing forbidden activities or trying to distract parents' attention.
By the age of two, toddlers could use far more devious techniques, such as bluffing when threatened with a punishment.
Dr Reddy said: "Fake crying is one of the earliest forms of deception to emerge, and infants use it to get attention even though nothing is wrong. You can tell, as they will then pause while they wait to hear if their mother is responding, before crying again. LinkGood one. Why this is news to anybody who's ever had a non-intellectually challenged baby is beyond me. Sofia is 10 months old and she can lie up a storm. She quickly crawls away from the scene of the crime when she knocks over something she's not supposed to touch, and the fake crying is her weapon of choice to get what she wants, although hopefully she'll learn soon that it doesn't work.
Did psychologists really not know this? I guess it really is a soft "science". Also in recent news, Man Lands on Moon.
As in..."Need lollipop..." "Need Coffee...." "Need Mint Julep...." etc.
