They actually rated it as their worst show of all time.
I told them that was a shame, because they should have been playing across the parking lot at Hal and Mal's, which fits their profile a lot better.
So it looks like that is in the works now. What they need is some info... well, read Jodee's email:
"I am attempting to put together a bill at Hal and Mal's on Wednesday, Aug. 12. Need to add 2 support bands that are from Jackson. Do you guys have any musician connections or know of bands that might draw well in Jackson that I could contact? Thanks.. Jodee"
You can stream a little of their music on the website... I think iTunes calls it folk/americana... Please post your suggestions in the comments... Thanks!

A show I curated in Chi-Town, ranked the #4 show to see in this week's Newcity, a Chicago A&E weekly...
...and BTW, Google Docs is amazing if you haven't tried it for web-based presentations and documents.

Anna has her first solo art show starting next week at the Art Institute of Chicago. I'm very disappointed at this because it means that her CV will now be somewhat stronger than mine. She's been doing lots of paintings and the director of the Betty Rymer Gallery really liked them and offered to show her work in some display cases. I'm not kidding.
Oh, and sorry Harrison.

| What American accent do you have? (Best version so far) Northern You have a Northern accent. That could either be the Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland/Buffalo accent (easily recognizable) or the Western New England accent that news networks go for. |

The band is The Spares, and the show is Wednesday, June 13th at 10pm. They play kinda blue-grassy, country, americana stuff (check the website for music samples). If you're free in Jackson please go support them. We saw a great show here in Chi-Town.

Not quite like the good old days, but not bad, and easy to fix with a little spray paint. There were about five variations, filled with rifles, handguns, machine guns, knives, bullets, handcuffs, night-vision goggles, etc... Sorry for the blurry cell phone pic. Let me know if anyone wants me to pick up a set for their kid.

This is from a web site I read up here in DC that is subscription based or I'd just post the link. Anyway, I submitted the entire Big Lebowski script - but here are some more great movie quotes.
LAST CALL TOP 100 MOVIE QUOTES
The American Film Institute this week released the Top 100 Movie Quotes of all time. And it was good. But it was not complete. Where was Napoleon? Where was The Dude? Where were "Old School," "Sixteen Candles," "Fletch"? Last Call! readers knew they could do better. And indeed, they did. Hundreds of readers sent thousands of quotes, and we've done our best, in 24 hours, to pick and rank from among them. All 100 quotes could have come from about 5 of the favorite movies, so we limited to 3 per film. We weighed many factors, including their ability to stand alone, and when in doubt, we consulted experts. So, thanks to everyone who emailed submissions, and enjoy.
